SimBeam — Support
SimBeam turns your iPhone or iPad into a live remote for the iOS Simulators running on your Mac.
Requirements
- An iPhone or iPad running a supported version of iOS or iPadOS (see the App Store listing).
- A Mac running the SimBeam companion app with at least one iOS Simulator.
- Network connectivity between your device and the Mac.
Getting started
- On your Mac, open the SimBeam companion and show its pairing QR code.
- On your device, open SimBeam and tap the + button on the main screen.
- Scan the QR code. The app pairs with the Mac and connects.
- Pick a simulator to stream it live, and control it with taps and swipes.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t pair — make sure the QR code is current and both devices can reach
each other on the network; generate a fresh code on the Mac if needed.
- Camera permission — SimBeam needs camera access to scan the pairing code.
Enable it in Settings → SimBeam.
- Local Network permission — allow Local Network access so the app can reach
your Mac directly.
- Connection drops — the app reconnects automatically. If a direct connection
can’t be established, a relay may be required.
